It can be incredibly hard to get started on the path to level eighty as a mage; the class is notoriously weak at low levels, and a bad spec will only serve to compound your problems. This Mage Frost leveling spec will make sure that that, at least, is not one of your problems. We’ll also discuss what Glyphs will best serve you with your spec.

And remember, Mage is rough until you reach level thirty or so; once you have the combo of Shatter and Ice Shards thigns will get better. And when you get your Water Elemental at level 50 you’ll be an unstoppable killing machine. Everything after that is just gravy for your Mage Frost leveling spec.

So, let’s finish up by talking about Glyphs. Major Glyphs, in my order of preference; pick the ones that best suit your level/playstyle:

Eternal Water
Evocation
Ice Barrier
Frost Nova
Ice Armor

As for Minor Glyphs, Slow Fall, Ice Armor, and Arcane Intellect are decent. I hope this all has helped you out, and that you get to level eighty quickly and easily!
