The new Survivor Cast was announced by CBS. The 18th Season of Survivor will take place in the Brazilian Highlands, and present fans with yet another exciting and new location for the cast-mates to carry out their challenges of survival. The new cast of Survivor will consist of 16 castaways, who will compete for the first place prize of 1 million dollars over the span of 39 days, all to be awarded on a live show later on in the spring television season.

Tocantins will be the location of the newest season of Survivor, and is located in the Brazilian Highlands. It is a beautiful place that is not only going to be very challenging to the new contestants, but present a brand new set of wild animals that will surely make their appearance felt on some of the seasons upcoming episodes. The 16 new contestants will compete in various competitions during the 18th installment of Survivor, eliminating contestants one by one, until the final show, where there is a vote to determine who will win the $1 million prize. Along the way, the challenge is also the slogan of the show, where contestants will battle to outwit, outplay, and outlast one another.

The newest season of Survivor (The Brazilian Highlands) will start on Thursday night, February 12th, 2009, and take back its 8pm time-slot on the CBS network. This is the 18th season of the hit reality show, and recent seasons have still shown that Survivor is definitely a show that can still draw in high ratings numbers. People still tune into the show, and it is still able to provide a lot of entertainment to both loyal viewers, as well as people tuning in for the first time to the show.

This is going to be another exciting season of the show, and the cast looks to be a nice mix of not only ages, but athletic abilities as well. February 12th seems a long way away at this point, but CBS is really trying to build up the excitement for the new season by releasing the cast list as well as some anecdotes about each of the contestants. It is sure to be an interesting season, and it's anybody's guess who will be able to win this season.

In fact, depending on the software choices you make, it needn't cost you a penny more that you paid for the computer!

Whether you're a Windows PC or Apple Mac user, you'll be able to start editing your digital video movies right now, assuming you have the right hardware connections .
